Unity of Spirit and Matter in the Wisdom Teachings

The insights into the order of creation as they are conveyed by the Wisdom Teachings have a remarkable equivalent in the discoveries of the new sciences. Both approaches perceive reality as the interrelation of a transcendental, noumenal element with the totality of the material visible nature. The transcendental element is also described as immanent in all of creation.

In the cosmology of the Wisdom teachings there is a notion of a spiritual world-consciousness, the Logos, permeating the whole Kosmos with invisible energies.

"It is the divine force, which animates the universe, and as the sum-total of archetypical patterns it is the seal, whose impression creates the cosmos out of chaotic matter. So the Logos exists in a dual form: on the one hand as the idea in the divine spirit, as the idea of the world to be created, and on the other hand as the world power that emanated from the divine spirit and out of whose creative activity the cosmos comes into existence."

Dr.Hans Meyer,
Geschichte der Lehre von den Keimkräften

Unity of Spirit and Matter – in the Sciences

The idea of  “the world power having emerged from the divine spirit” is the equivalent to the term “field” in the new sciences. A whole range of new scientific theories are describing causal fields behind the material plane: the implicit order, morphogenic fields, quantum fields.

Modern scientific research begins to remove itself from the old world view of the natural sciences which regarded matter as inanimate and mechanical. Classical physics can be characterized as a “theory of objects”; the differing structure of quantum physics could be characterized as the physics of the relations between the parts and the whole.

Some call it

Some call it

Some call it
" The All-Foundation".

„Matter at its most fundamental level could not be divided into independently existing units or even be fully described. Subatomic particles weren´t solid little objects like billiard balls, but vibrating and inter, inate packets of energy that could not be precisely quantified or understood in themselves.“

Lynne McTaggart, The Field, Harper perennial, Page 10.Teilchen

„In a concret sense there is not matter and spirit. All that exists is matter becoming spirit. There is neither spirit nor matter in the world; the `stuff of the universe` is spirit-matter.“ No other substance but this could produce the human

"We may therefore regard matter as being
constituted by the regions of space in which
the field is extremely intense...

"There is no place in this new kind of
physics for both the field and matter, for the
field is the only reality."

Albert Einstein
